Memphis Center for Advanced Spatial Analysis

The newly formed Department of Earth Sciences (DES) would like to welcome you to the Memphis Center for Advanced Spatial Analysis (MCASA), a laboratory for interdisciplinary research and instruction in geocomputation and geovisualization. MCASA is coming online during the Fall 2002 semester. While spatial analysis and GIS exist in various states on campus and throughout the community, MCASA will begin to serve as the locus of cutting-edge technology and expertise in spatial analytical research, academic instruction, and collaborative research (scientific and applied) solutions. MCASA is in its infancy, but the goal is to serve as a leader and catalyst for to advance spatial analytical technology at local, state, regional, national, and international levels.
